Anchor Into Your Body
Message from Saint Germain
When you are at rest without any sort of impending deadline or emergency and you still feel jittery and nervous and worried you either have been drinking too much coffee or you are having a problem anchoring into your body.
This not anchoring in your body is a result of being in your head instead of your whole body. When you are in your head you may notice that you do things without realizing that you have done. How many times have you driven home from work while in your head and didn't notice that you drove all the way home as you rambled on in your head regarding whatever miseries were being replayed over and over?
Being in your head all the time has one guaranteed outcome: nervousness and anxiety. The reason is simple - the head or physical mind is a machine that constantly worries about the future or worries about past actions. It is a Doom Machine. It is always making mountains out of molehills.
It is the primary reason for most diseases of the body. Your mind will start to worry and then you worry yourself into sickness. Being in your head is allowing the Doom Machine to take over your life with it's constant worries and fretting. It will worry you into more doom and gloom until you feel miserable and sad.
Would you like to know a simple way to shut down this machine and slip into a life of ease and Grace? The answer is to Anchor your consciousness into your body instead of your head.
I will provide you with practical advice: Anchoring your body requires that you focus your attention away from thoughts and toward the sensations that are occurring in and around your body.
If you are sitting down try this simple exercise to anchor:
First, breath in slowly and feel the expansion of your chest. Focus in on the heart space when you do this. Now hold your breath for as long as you can while you focus on the noise in the room about you. Do this for a few seconds. Next focus your attention on both the noise in the room about you and the pressure you feel on you backside as you sit. Feel the weight of your body. Keep doing this until you let go of your breath.
Second, breath in and out now slowly and deeply. You don't have to force the breath just slow down your breathing and pause slightly on the inhale and on the exhale. Do this continuously while focusing on the noise in the room and the feeling of air as it expands and contracts the chest. Focus on the feeling in the heart area as you inhale deeply while still focusing on the sounds around you. Continue this for as long as you can. I would practice this all day long while walking and talking and listening and working.
I want you to notice what happens to the Doom Machine inside your head- it has stopped spewing it doom and gloom. It is much more quieter!
Now, the physical mind does not like being quiet. It likes to be the boss. It will try to convince you that this anchoring in the body is not needed.
If it convinces you that this is not needed then you have a decision to make: Choose doom and gloom or choose peace and Grace. It is your decision to make.
A special note regarding stimulants such as coffee. A good percentage of the population is sensitive to the effects of coffee whereupon the physical mind under the influence of stimulants will overpower the ability to anchor into the body. If you find yourself unable to anchor into your body, examine the amounts of stimulants that you are ingesting and adjust accordingly.
