Who Made You The Opinion Maker?
Message From Ascended Master Siddhārtha Gautama.
Many of us on Earth have many opinions about everything under the sun. Many of us are not shy about expressing our opinions either. We are quick to jump into debates about what is best or not best and the ramifications of not choosing the position that we like.
Opinion makers have a tough time, however. Opinions are easy to create so the opinion maker who is attached to their opinions is constantly defending their position with many other opinions. We who become attached are then taken for a wild ride as we go from one argument to the next defending words and ideas against other words and ideas.
We become so attached that the clash of opinions start to make us worry. They can also make us mad. In the process we can develop bitterness. Bitterness then leads to diseases such high blood pressure and heart problems. Soon our health deteriorates and the rest of our life can quickly follow into disfunction all because we value our attachments to our opinions.
My practical advice to you is to throw out your opinions. When others ask what your opinion is of something, simply say, "I need to think about it more before I have an opinion." Afterwards, don't think about the topic and you will never have an opinion of it.
Being without opinions will soon make you realize that life doesn't stop. Indeed, life without opinions is a life full of options waiting to be explored.
Cut the cords to opinions and become happy!
