Second Guessing Your Intuition.
Ascended Master Djwal Khul.
The more you meditate, the more you are able to hear the Quiet Voice Within and the more you can receive Divine Guidance. Once you recognize the Voice Within as the Divine, as your God Self, then you can begin to consciously communicate by asking questions. The questions that are the most appropriate to ask the Divinity Within are those decisions that you are contemplating that impact others. In other words, if you are contemplating an action or inaction regarding another, the highest goal is to not do harm to the other person or do harm to yourself.
It is recommended that, after meditating, you ask the Voice Within for the best possible decision to make. With practice you will learn to receive the answer. With practice you will feel whether that answer is from the Divinity Within or the Ego.
Practice is a simple affair. Ask the Divine first for help in decisions that don't affect others. Asking the Divine, for example, "I ask the Divinity Within, what color socks to wear today?" is a simple, low risk way to strengthen the habit of Divine Communication or intuition. the Divine welcomes the communication so do not worry about the banality of the question. These safe questions are used as a method of training you. After receiving the answer then check with your heart to see if the answer feels right. If the answer feels right then you can be assured that the answer is of Divine Origen.
Over time you will grow in confidence as to the veracity of the belief that you have a reliable connection to the Divinity Within. You can then progress to the questions that matter, decisions that have the potential to harm yourself or others. Examples of such decisions are whether or not to move your family to another city, whether to quit your job, whether begin a new relationship,
Such decisions affect more than you and have the potential for mostly emotional harm but can have physical and mental ramifications also. These are the decisions where the Infinite Wisdom of the Divine can be most used and appreciated.
As with any method of communication, there is a note of caution: Beware of the Ego that wishes to second guess the Whisper Within. The Ego will attempt to take over this process by ignoring the Divine Wisdom if it has a desire or an aversion connected to the decision.
I will provide an example: A successful consultant receives two contract offers: The first at a lower rate of pay is nearby the consultant's house. The second offer requires a stay in Manhattan throughout most of the week with time spent at home on the weekends. The consultant asks the Divinity within, "Which job is for the highest good for all?" The answer comes back that the local offer is the best for all. The consultant's Ego, however, is very much enthralled with the idea of being in Manhattan throughout most of the week. It has always been a desire to work in Manhattan. So the consultant asks again and hears that the Manhattan offer is the best. The Ego is happy and the Manhattan job is accepted. It turns out that the absence of the consultant from the home meant the consultant was unable to detect clues given out by a teen-aged daughter that she was contemplating suicide. As a result, a tragic suicide occurs while the consultant is in Manhattan.
The second guessing of the consultant created a change in guidance lead by the Ego's desires.
Your practical advise for today is, after getting the advise from the Divinity Within and then checking the Heart to see if it feels right, is to write this Wisdom on paper with the question. Afterwards, trust the advise and stick with it. If your Ego tries to convince you otherwise, then repeat this mantra, "I trust and accept the Divine's advice." while reading the written response.
